Story is also told to kids to know the mythological background of this festival . It was a memorable and beautiful moment for all of us, everyone felt the spirit of Rakshabandhan.
'Raksha Bandhan' or 'Rakhi' is a special occasion to celebrate the virtuous bond between a brother and a sister which is one of the deepest and noblest of all human emotions.
To commemorate this festival, a Rakhi Celebration was organized for the students of 'class 1 & 2' on 17-08-24 saturday. All students came in beautiful traditional attire to celebrate this festival with their classmates. With the guidance of the teacher girls tied the rakhi on boys' wrist to make their bond stronger.
All the children gave each other sweets and all the boys gave chocolates to the girls as Raksha Bandhan gifts.

Our Pre-nursery, Nursery and K. G. class students recently took part in a delightful Rakhi Making / Decoration Activity. On July 29 , 2024, our school's primary classes (classes 1to 5)commemorated Kargil Vijay Diwas with a patriotic fervor by organizing an Inter-House Group Singing Competition. Green day was celebrated to recognize and identify the colour Green, understand the importance of Van mahotsav, develop fine motor skills as well as gross motor skills through different activities and encourage social interaction. Today, our pre-primary class celebrated Van mahotsava enthusiastically.The children explored Green colour through art and different activities. To recognize and identify the letter 'I', develop fine motor skills of small kids through playdough clay manipulation and to encourage creativity and imagination,an Ice cream making activity was conducted in class Pre- Nursery.Teacher asked the students to Make ice cream shapes using colourful clay to identify the letter 'I'.Students shared their creations with the class, saying the sound 'I' and identifying the letter 'I'.

What is the first thing that comes to mind when someone asks you to name a noun? Many students across the country may not immediately think of a person, place, or thing. They might struggle to come up with a noun. As teachers, we need to find activities that capture our students' attention and interest them into learning about nouns and other parts of speech. Teaching Grammar can be a lot of fun with the right resources. 'Noun Hunt' activity which was organized for class 1C to introduce them to the concept of nouns. As a part of this activity students paste cards or real objects of animals, things, places and people to identify the four categories of nouns.
Common and Proper Noun Hunt Activity-
In this activity students were randomly pick one ice-cream stick, identify the type of noun as common and proper noun and put it in the correct pocket of the noun.Through this activity students learned to identify Common and Proper nouns. Children thoroughly enjoyed this activity as it was learning through fun.
To recognize and identify the five sense organs (eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and skin) and Understand the basic functions of each sense organ as well as to develop an appreciation for the importance of our sense organs in everyday life.an activity based on Sense Organs was conducted in Class-KG.
The activity was performed by conducting Show and tell using flashcards and real-life objects,by singing songs and reciting nursery rhymes related to sense organs,by simple games and activities to demonstrate the functions of each sense organ,by colouring activity etc.Teacher observed students' participation during activities and asked Simple questions to identify sense organs and their functions.Students enjoyed a lot and learnt the topic well.

Van Mahotsav week was celebrated from 1st July to 6th July with full enthusiasm at Lucknow Public School, Pragatipuram to promote environmental awareness among students as well as the parents.
Different events were organised for Classes Nursery to V. Plantation Drive was the main focus of this event. Students and teachers participated in this tree planting drive and distributed the saplings in the neighbourhood areas of the school. The celebration included different activities like Green Day celebration, Fancy dress, Poster making-Card making, Poem Recitation, Card making, Slogan writing etc were held on the environmental themes that encouraged creativity and awareness among the students. World Heritage day is observed on April 18 every year to raise awareness about the significance of the world Heritage sites and importance of safeguarding them for future generations.For celebrating the world Heritage day students of classes 3 to 5 were taken on a virtual tour of the various states of India and showcased it's magnificent heritage and culture. The students were shown various historical monuments of New Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala etc via virtual tour. Many of the students have already visited some of the places so they are very well acknowledged about it while they have also learnt about some of the places they visited in virtual tour in Social Studies. Students became well versed with some of the places through virtual tour which they have never heard about.

The students of classes 3rd 5th enthusiastically participated in different activities and competition and shared awareness message. Students of class 3rd made beautiful fruits and vegetables by using clay. Fruit salad making activity was conducted for the students of class 4th. Poster making activity on the theme 'say no to junk food'was conducted for the students of class 5th. Inter house competitions were also conducted for the classes of 3rd to 5th Collage making competition theme eat healthy and stay fit, Soft Board decoration competition and Digital table calendar designing theme eat well and stay fit.The significance of the activities to maintain good health day wise making the word appear and health year place to live in. The celebration full field it's objective of developing a deep understanding of the essential link between individual and collective help for a sustainable life.
The first day of school is memorable and exciting for every child. Children are quite nervous about going to school and meeting new people. Teachers at LPS left no stone unturned for making it Encouraging, Enthusiastic and Eventful for each and every child. A tour is helpful during the first day. First, it helps to break-up the day with a little movement. It is quite beneficial for students to might be a bit anxious about school. The day started with a special assembly conducted by our teachers to welcome the children to a place of wonderland. They were welcomed by beautiful badges to make this day a memorable one.
On 31ST MARCH, 2024, an Orientation Programme was organized for the parents of Pre-Nursery y to familiarize our new parents with the rules, regulations and systems followed in Lucknow Public School, at the Foundational Stage. Parents were welcomed to the LPS family by the teachers. Our Principal, Ms. Shubhangini Pathak, in her address, highlighted the crucial roles of parents in shaping the destiny of students. Parents were introduced to the New Education Policy, Curriculum, the assessment pattern ,method that is adopted for teaching-learning in the Foundational Stage. They were taken on a virtual tour of the school through a power point presentation and briefed about the colourful and innovative activities undertaken in the Pre-Primary wing. It was a great first step towards building a long-lasting relationship between the parents and the school in years to come.
