MAGIC SHOW
Magic is a performing art that entertains the audience through seemingly impossible feats conducted by the use of tricks, illusions, sleight of hand, and well practised moves. Since times immemorial, magic has been a source of curiosity and fascination for children. There was a Magic Show organized for the students of Grades I to V. The magician, Mr. Sikandar, performed several tricks which left the children astonished and mesmerized. He called up a few children and performed astounding tricks with them. The entire area sprang up with the cheers and laughter. The students were also given tips on how to play some simple tricks.
DEEPAWALI CELEBRATION
The Diwali celebrations at school often mean a festive look with diyas and lanterns adorning the class. The students of Lucknow Public School celebrated the festival of Diwali with great enthusiasm.
To mark the occasion, an assembly was organised on 10th November 2023 by the students of classes III to V. It started with a solemn prayer to the almighty and a beautiful thought that filled our hearts and minds with love and harmony. The students talked about the significance of the festival - how good always conquered the evil and also about why and how Diwali is celebrated across India. They also shared the guidelines of environment-friendly options for celebrating Diwali. Wonderful presentation of the assembly by the students instilled a sense of victory of light over darkness. The students of class III to V continued the Diwali celebration with various Inter house competitions .The entire presentation filled the hearts of all students with the spirit of Diwali and they enjoyed the celebrations wholeheartedly.
हिन्दी सप्ताह समारोह : तृतीय दिवस की झलकियाँ(२०२३-२४)
हिंन्दी सप्ताह के कार्यक्रमों की श्रृंखला के अंतर्गत दिवस ११ - ०९ - २०२३ को कक्षा ३ 'अ' के विद्यार्थियों ने विशेष प्रार्थना सभा का आयोजन किया जिसके द्वारा हिंदी भाषा को शिक्षित वर्ग द्वारा उपेक्षत किये जाने पर बल दिया और यह सन्देश समस्त जन तक फैलाने का प्रयास सफलता पूर्वक नुक्कड़ नाटक द्वारा किया । हिंदी भाषा सिर्फ बोल चाल की ही भाषा नहीं है अपितु यह दिल से दिल तक पहुंचने वाला वह बंधन है जो हमें विविध संस्कृतियों और संप्रदाय में होने के बावजूद एक - दूसरे से जोड़े रखता है। अनेकता में एकता का सामंजस्य केवल हिंदी भाषा के माध्यम से ही संभव हैं। इसी के साथ टेढ़े-मेढ़े उच्चारण के गांव में विचरण : उच्चारण कौशल प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन कक्षा ३ से ५ के विद्यार्थियों के लिए शिक्षकों द्वारा संचालित किया गया। साथ ही एक पहेली, सदा नवेली: बूझो तो जाने प्रतियोगिता में कक्षा १ एवं २ के छात्रों ने सम्पूर्ण उत्साह से ओत-प्रोत होकर भागीदारी दिखाई। हिंदी के प्रति बच्चों ने अपना प्रेम और अपनत्व कुछ इस प्रकार प्रकशित किया जैसे सुमित्रानंदन पंत जी ने अपने शब्दों में उल्लेखित किया है:
"हिंदी हमारे राष्ट्र की अभिव्यक्ति का सरलतम स्रोत है"।
हिन्दी सप्ताह समारोह : द्वितीया दिवस की झलकियाँ(२०२३-२४)
दिनांक- 08-09-2023 हिंन्दी सप्ताह के कार्यक्रम को आगे बढ़ाते हुए दिन की शुरूआत कक्षा चार के विद्यार्थियों द्वारा विशेष प्रार्थना सभा से की गयी। क्रियाकलाप के अंतर्गत कक्षा 1 व 2 के बच्चों द्वारा “कथा जगत में सैर-सपाटा” के अंतर्गत कथावाचन प्रतियोगिता में सदन स्तर पर प्रतिभागिता करते हुए हिन्दी भाषा के प्रति भरपूर उत्साह प्रकट किया गया।
कक्षा 3 से 5 के विद्यार्थियों ने भारतीय उत्पाद का महत्व साझा करने हेतु अंतर सदन विज्ञापन प्रतियोगिता में बढ़-चढ़ कर हिस्सा लिया। इस प्रतियोगिता का विषय था ‘देश को जगाना है, भारतीय उत्पाद का महत्व समझाना है।‘ इन नवोदित विज्ञापन कलाकारों ने अद्वितीय विचारों और भावों को मंच पर उड़ेल दिया और अपनी मातृभाषा को आत्मसात करते हुए स्वदेशी भारतीय उत्पादों के महत्व को समझा और अन्य को भी समझाया।
हिन्दी सप्ताह समारोह : अद्वितीय भाषा जागरूकता पखवारा उद्घाटन(२०२३-२४)
“हिंदी हृदय की भाषा हैं, जिसकी वजह से हमारे शब्द हृदय से निकलते हैं और हृदय तक पहुँचते हैं।
एक भाषा के रूप में हिंदी न सिर्फ भारत की पहचान है बल्कि यह हमारे जीवन मूल्यों ,संस्कृति एवं संस्कारों की सच्ची संवाहक, संप्रेषण और परिचायक भी है । हिंदी भाषा बहुत सरल और सहज है । हिंदी भाषा के महत्व को ध्यान में रखते हुए दिनांक 06 •09 •2023 को लखनऊ पब्लिक स्कूल, प्रगति पुरम शाखा में कक्षा 5 के विद्यार्थियों द्वारा विशेष प्रार्थना सभा का आयोजन करते हुए हिंदी पखवाड़े का शुभारंभ किया गया। प्रार्थना सभा में बच्चों ने मां सरस्वती की वंदना करते हुए अपने सुविचारों द्वारा हिंदी भाषा के प्रति अपनी भावना को व्यक्त किया । मुख्य समाचार द्वारा अपने विद्यालय, राज्य, देश एवं अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर के प्रमुख समाचारों से बच्चों को अवगत कराया गया । इसी क्रम में आगे बढ़ते हुए हिंदी भाषा के सैद्धांतिक स्वरूप एवं उसके महत्व को भाषण द्वारा प्रकाशित किया गया। हिंदी भाषा की वैज्ञानिकता को सिद्ध करने हेतु छात्रों द्वारा मात्राओं पर आधारित गीत प्रस्तुत किया गया । अपनी भारतीय समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक विरासत को दर्शाते हुए जन्माष्टमी के शुभ अवसर पर मनमोहक नृत्य नाटिका प्रस्तुत करते हुए कृष्ण लीलाओं को प्रदर्शित किया गया । हिंदी भाषा के प्रति जागरूकता ,आकर्षण का भाव दर्शाते हुए शिक्षकों द्वारा गीत प्रस्तुत किया गया । कक्षा नर्सरी से कक्षा 5 तक के बच्चों की हिंदी सुलेख प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया , जिससे छात्रों में हिंदी भाषा के विभिन्न कौशलों का विकास हुआ एवं हिंदी भाषा के प्रति प्रेम एवं जागरूकता उत्पन्न हुई ।

Gratitude in Bloom: A Heartfelt and Touching Tribute to Teachers by the Students

In the heart of every student, there's a special place reserved for the unsung heroes of our lives - Our Teachers. On September 4th, 2023, the students of Lucknow Public School, Pragatipuram branch, came together to shower their boundless love and gratitude upon these guiding lights during a heartwarming Teachers' Day celebration.
The day commenced with a soul-stirring rendition of "Tu Pyar Ka Sagar Hai," filling the air with devotion. This was followed by a poignant tribute to the great Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, whose birthday we celebrate as Teachers' Day. Our Sports Captain delivered an inspiring speech, reminding us of the profound impact teachers have on our lives.
The little stars of classes I to III lit up the stage with a rhythmic group medley dance "Tu Jo Mila", while every student bestowed their beloved teachers with titles, accompanied by heartfelt cards and roses. The highlight of the day was the mesmerizing group dance by classes IV and V, depicting the significance of teachers in our lives with the words, 'Guru Bramha Guru Vishnu, Guru Devo Maheshwara.'
Ms. Jyotsna Mishra's heartfelt speech underscored the dedication of our teachers in shaping the future of our nation. She urged them to be creative and find joy in their work, for one happy teacher can make 40 students' faces blossom with smiles every day.
Indeed, the celebration was a testament to the unbreakable bond between teachers and their students, a bond that transcends time and leaves an indelible mark on our hearts.
Pre-Janmashtami Festivities: A Creative Overture to Lord Krishna's Birth
Leading up to the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, Lucknow Public School, Pragatipuram branch, embarked on a delightful journey of devotion and creativity for Lord Krishna. In the days preceding Janmashtami, our students from Nursery to Class II immersed themselves in activities that expressed their deep affection for Natkhat Krishna.
Class Nursery, with boundless enthusiasm, fashioned exquisite 'Mukuts' for their beloved friend Natkhat Krishna. Meanwhile, Class KG, armed with vibrant colors and creative flair, crafted 'Makhan Matkis,' extending a heartfelt invitation to Krishna for a sumptuous feast.
In the artistic realm, Class I students exhibited their talents through 'Paper Crafting: Matki Making,' presenting their love to Kanha. Simultaneously, in Class II, budding artists honed their skills in 'Paper Crafting: Flute Making,' offering a musical token of affection to Lord Krishna.

At Lucknow Public School, Pragatipuram Branch, Rakshabandhan was celebrated with a series of heartwarming activities, each nurturing the spirit of sibling love. In Nursery, "Crafting Heartfelt Thank You Cards Activity: Gratitude in Every Stroke" taught little ones the beauty of expressing appreciation. In KG, "Rakhi Making Activity: Ties That Bind Hearts Forever" encouraged creativity as students crafted their own rakhis. Class I explored tradition with "Crafting Shagun Envelopes Activity as Tokens of Sibling Affection for Rakhi," while Class II added a personal touch with "Crafting Love: Rakhi Gift Making Activity." The day was made even more special as students of Nursery and KG boys brought sweets for their little sisters, and the girls brought Rakhis for their cute brothers. The heartwarming ceremony of tying Rakhis and exchanging sweets took place amongst them, creating lasting memories and reinforcing the bonds of love and affection. Lucknow Public School, Pragatipuram, celebrated National Sports Day on August 29, 2023, with an exceptional tribute to Major Dhyan Chand. This day epitomizes the essence of sportsmanship and excellence.
The day commenced with an assembly led by the enthusiastic students of Class IV C, showcasing their passion for sports and its enduring legacy.
Inspiring student speeches followed, highlighting the profound significance of National Sports Day, emphasizing that it shapes character and instills values beyond physical prowess. The stage then came alive with a beautifully choreographed dance drama honoring major Indian athletes like Major Dhyan Chand, Geeta Phogat, and Neeraj Chopra. Neeraj Chopra's historic javelin throw, achieving gold with 88.17m at the World Championships on August 28, 2023, was celebrated grandly. The celebration extended to students of all ages. Even our youngest from Nursery participated in the Ball Collection race. KG boys showcased sportsmanship during the Lemon race, and Classes I and II displayed Mass Yoga's serenity. Classes III to IV brought excitement with the Inter-House relay race, followed by honoring the Inter-Branch Table Tennis Championship for Girls. The day concluded with a House-wise group photo shoot, etching this memorable day in our hearts forever.

On August 11, 2023, the young talents of Lucknow Public School, Pragatipuram branch, showcased their exceptional art and craft skills. It was a day filled with creativity and patriotism as students from various classes exhibited their masterpiece creations.
Class I students crafted exquisite tricolour wristbands, while Class II students designed magnificent tricolour badges. In the spirit of teamwork, Class III students engaged in a group activity, resulting in a beautiful tricolour flag. Class IV students showcased their artistic prowess by creating stunning tricolour pigeons, symbolizing peace. The innovative spirit continued with Class V students crafting fluttering tricolour butterflies.The commendable teamwork and enthusiasm displayed by these young talents were truly praiseworthy. They approached each activity with unwavering zeal, celebrating the essence of unity in diversity. Even our littlest ones from Nursery and KG joined in the patriotic fervor. They indulged in tricolour earbud painting and paper tearing activities, creating beautiful National Flags and setting an inspiring example of teamwork and creativity. At LPS Pragatipuram, the 77th Independence Day was celebrated with unparalleled fervor and an unwavering sense of patriotism. The occasion began with the ceremonial unfurling of the National Flag, accompanied by the soul-stirring strains of our National Anthem. The festivities included a stirring speech by the Head Girl, followed by an enchanting group dance performed by the young talents from Nursery and KG, who joyfully celebrated our patriotic spirit. The older students, from Classes IV and V, mesmerized the audience with a patriotic medley, while the first graders danced with gusto to 'Kandhon Se Milte Hain Kandhe'. The students of Class II serenaded the gathering with a soulful rendition of 'We Shall Overcome' leaving everyone inspired. The grand finale featured a beautifully synchronized patriotic dance performance by Class V. As a profound source of inspiration, Ms. Jyotsna Mishra encouraged the students to become proactive problem solvers and responsible citizens, echoing the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi. The program concluded with the National Song and a rousing 'Udghosh' directed by the Head Boy.

The ceremony forms our school's prefectorial board through rigorous selection, imparting them with valuable administrative experiences. Badges and sashes like Head Boy, Head Girl, Vice Head Boy, Vice Head Girl, Prefects, Activity Coordinators, Sports Captains, House Captains, Vice-Captains, and Primary Wing Prefects grace the deserving shoulders. With a solemn oath, student council members pledged sincerity and the pursuit of preserving our school's honor. This event marked a profound impact, a testament to the transformative power of leadership. As Jyotsna Ma'am's inspiring words resonated, the atmosphere buzzed with positivity. These young leaders stand tall, promising to uphold our values and steer progress ahead.
ACTIVITY: QUEST ENIGMA
“India –the cradle of human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history”.
Undoubtedly, the fact and figure about India have always been a matter of research and inspiration globally. To take a short glimpse on the same and to make the students aware about its Lucknow Public School organized a quiz –Quest Enigma on 10/08/23 to provide a platform to the students to explore a nation which is a land of spiritually and have a glorified history. Seven branches of LPS participated in the competition in preliminary round (phase -I), in which four were selected for the Phase –II round and the results were-Ahiyaraipur Raibareilly stood First, LPS –Sector I grab the second position, LPS Unnao stood Third and consolation to LPS Sector D. The Quiz completion was a great success and definitely it will have encouraged students to participate in more such competition in future.
Remembering the Spirit of Quit India Movement
On August 10th, 2023, LUCKNOW PUBLIC SCHOOL honored the 81st anniversary of the Quit India Movement, a pivotal chapter in our freedom struggle. The spirit of Quit India Day, which ignited the Indian people's determination under British rule, continues to resonate. It stands as a testament to our forefathers' indomitable will and courage.
The day commenced by seeking blessings and extending a warm welcome to all attendees. Class V students orchestrated a captivating assembly centered around the 'August Kranti Movement,' taking everyone on a journey through history.
The assembly reached its crescendo with heartfelt words from Ms. Jyotsna Mishra. She lauded the meticulously planned and impeccably executed event. The audience was immersed in pride and patriotism as they remembered the sacrifices of our heroes. This celebration served as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices that won us our freedom. It rejuvenated our commitment to safeguard our nation's future. As we recall the Quit India Movement, we're reminded of the essence of freedom and the responsibility it places on our shoulders.

INTER - BRANCH BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIP
Badminton is a much-admired sport which requires strength, endurance, as well as mental capabilities leading to self-discipline and healthy lifestyle. To provide an opportunity to the students to showcase their skills & inculcate into them spirit of sportsmanship, Lucknow Public School organized an Inter-Branch Badminton Championship on 29th & 30th July at Shri C.P Singh Memorial Auditorium. The entire LPS family consisting of nine branches participated enthusiastically for the primary, junior & senior category. The match began with a lot of enthusiasm displayed not only by the players but also by the spectators. The result of tournament is as follows:
LPS, Sec I branch bagged winners title followed by LPS, South City & LPS, Sec D branch in the Junior Category for Boys. While on the other hand, LPS, Sec D branch emerged as a winner followed by LPS, Jankipuram and LPS, Sec I in the Junior Category for Girls. LPS, Raebareli won the match followed by LPS, South City & LPS, Sec D in the Senior Category for Boys. However, LPS, Raebareli retained the first position again for the Senior Category for Girls followed by LPS, Eldeco & LPS, Jankipuram respectively. The certificates were presented to all the winners & the tournament was quite a learning experience for all the participating teams. The fun-filled day was a true treat to the eyes of all Badminton fans present there.

The students of LPS, Pragatipuram Branch organized a special assembly on 26th July 2023, to commemorate the brave soldiers of 'Operation Vijay' during Kargil Vijay Diwas. The assembly was filled with patriotic fervor as the students of classes III-V presented a moving skit portraying the valor and sacrifice of the warriors for their motherland. The performance left everyone deeply moved, instilling a profound appreciation for the sacrifices made by these brave souls. During the national anthem, the feeling of patriotism resonated in every heart, serving as a heartfelt tribute to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the country. Colorful Creations: Bindi Sticking Fun for Nursery and KG Students
On 21st July 2023, a delightful and colorful "Bindi Sticking Activity" was organized for the Nursery and KG students. The objective was to engage young minds in a creative and fun-filled exercise, enhancing their fine motor skills and creativity.
The activity commenced with the children's excitement as they were given an assortment of vibrant bindis in different shapes and colors. Under the guidance of teachers, the little ones carefully selected and stuck bindis on charts and paper cutouts, exploring their imagination.
The classroom ambiance echoed with laughter and joy, creating an enjoyable and interactive learning experience. Teachers encouraged the children to express their ideas and helped them with their creations. The event fostered a sense of accomplishment and boosted the children's confidence.

A lively and exciting "Fancy Dress Competition" on the theme of "Our Helpers" was conducted for Class II on 17th July, 2023. The objective was to ignite creativity and knowledge among the students while celebrating the roles of various community helpers. The young participants dressed up as doctors, firefighters, police officers, teachers, and more, showcasing their understanding of the noble professions that serve society. Each child enthusiastically portrayed their chosen helper and shared interesting facts during their presentations.
The event witnessed an enthusiastic audience, including teachers and fellow students, who cheered for the participants. The competition not only brought out the children's creativity but also imparted valuable lessons about the importance of these helpers in our lives.
